Newt Gingrich Wants the Constitution to Die

Newt Gingrich wants the Constitution to die. This is not hyperbole and I’m not kidding.

In 1995, Gingrich wrote the foreword to the book Creating a New Civilization: The Politics of the Third Wave by authors Alvin and Heidi Toffler. Gingrich “urged all Americans to read” this book. See for yourself on the back cover:

A “new civilization?” Here’s the Tofflers’ description of what must “die” to “invent” this new civilization. From pg. 91:

We can assume the Tofflers are talking about Thomas Jefferson. Understanding ”Jeffersonian democracy” is integral to understanding American constitutional government, the system Mr. Jefferson “helped create.” Is this “the system” the Tofflers and apparently Gingrich want to “die and be replaced?” Do they want to essentially murder the very basis of American government, law and civilization?

Even Mitt Romney at least pretends to support the Constitution. Good Lord, Newt.

Such an insult.   Hell, no.
