Great News folks we may have an advantage over any other City in Iowa.  We have the ability to take a walk and that walk could possibly kill us.

Muscatine doesn't pollute, its our neighbors:

Muscatine had yet another three-day stretch of very high SO2 readings. Using the unofficial data at the State Hygienic Lab’s web site, here’s what happened:

Firday, Nov. 11: SO2 at 110.6 ppb (NAAQS is 75 ppb), Air Quality Index at 117 (Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups)
Saturday, Nov. 12: SO2 at 156.4 ppb, Air Quality Index at 137 (Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups)
Sunday, Nov. 13: SO2 at 208.4 ppb, Air Quality Index at 161 ( Unhealthy for all people).

It’s another normal day in Beijing, er, Muscatine.
Hey Nedi,JustCurious, big brother, what will you ever come up with to disprove that GPC pollutes?
BY the way, when these occured, MPW wasn't doing a whole lot.   Maybe its time MPW admit they do everything together.    So which one is doing the pollution?

"Lets all die together"

You go first.

Nov 11th, 12th and 13th?.....This is the 16th.....what are U using old information for? If we all are paying great sums for your environmental records, why can't they be more precise?

In the U.S. in the late 1800's and early 1900's almost every city and town burned coal for heat.  I remember as a child as late as the 1950's, even, seeing the new snow dusted with a black soot just a few hours after falling.

What was the leading cause of death in the late 1800's and early 1900's?  Cancer?   Respiratory problems?  No, it was communicable diseases, with TB leading the way.  They found the cause of TB.  It wasn't coal or pollution (unless you want to call bacteria pollution).

By the way, the rise of the coal and oil chemical industry was one of the precucrsors to

the development of life saving medicines.

I felt fine last Sunday.
