Update related to soldier's funerals in QCA

Posted in: Muscatine

Just a note about the press coverage in the QCA about the funerals of two soldiers recently killed in Afghanistan. Communities really showed their support. Press coverage was done nicely.

But, as an update to soldiers that have died in Iraq, let's remember Obama's and CNN's headlines related last August 18th that "The last U.S. brigade combat team in Iraq has left the country, a move that helps U.S. President Barack Obama reach his goal of 50,000 troops in the country by September 1".

From Operation New Dawn's casualty website, as of November 16, 2011:

Army Spc. David Emanuel Hickman, 23, of Greensboro, North Carolina. Hickman died November 14, 2011 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered after encountering an improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Army 1st Lt. Dustin D. Vincent, 25, of Mesquite, Texas.
Vincent died November 3, 2011 in Kirkuk province, Iraq, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Army Capt. Shawn Patrick T. Charles, 40, of Hickory, North Carolina.
Charles died October 23, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas, from a non-combat illness.
He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Army Staff Sgt. James R. Leep Jr., 44, of Richmond, Virginia. Leep died October 17, 2011 in Babil province, Iraq.
He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 183rd Cavalry Regiment, 116th Brigade Combat Team, Portsmouth, Virginia.

Four MORE soldiers from three brigade combat team units have recently died in Iraq since his announcement that the last brigade combat team had left Iraq. This brings the total in Iraq to 66, according to the Operation New Dawn website, since obama's announcement. Can anyone explain obama's lie? Was it just because of the upcoming fall elections then?

And this US muslim president from Kenya is who mallcontent defends on every other issue. but she can't muster any defense to this though, huh?
