I note, BB, that your link to this government report is about the "final" environmental impact statement.
What does that make the Obumbler, when he says we need more study?
Perhaps liar?

Yep, hiroad and JC...he's a proven liar once again. But folks are missing the bigger picture here. "He" is no expert. But his own experts that completed the "final" EIS are now declared Un-experts by his own decision and words. He needs more study? Well that statement gives his own environmental experts an F for there 4 years of work on that EIS. Now, what's that say about the rest of *his* environmental regulatory staff in all other matters? He just told the world they are INCOMPETENT! |

Yep he ignores the final study's findings because it was politically unpalitable for him. Just like he did the findings of the Simpson-Bowles commission regarding the national debt:
Buffett: “What Happened With Simpson-Bowles Was An Absolute Tragedy”14November 2011
Posted by: Research On CNBC This Morning, Warren Buffett Said It Was “An Absolute Tragedy” That Simpson-Bowles Was IgnoredCNBC’S BECKY QUICK: “So is that an argument for a tax code that is stripped down the way Simpson and Bowles laid out?” WARREN BUFFETT: “Well it – you go back to what, you know, Kemp-Roth and all that that too that they were working on that. I think what happened with Simpson-Bowles was an absolute tragedy. I mean here are two extremely high-grade people. They have somewhat different ideas about government but they're smart. They're decent. They’ve got good senses of humor, too. They're good at working with people. Buffett: No Super Committee Would Be Necessary If Simpson-Bowles Was Not Ignored QUICK: “Why are we starting over with a new congressional committee?” BUFFETT: “Because we ignored the last one.” (CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” 11/12/11) Obama Had Promised To Take His Own Fiscal Commission Seriously Obama Promised That “Once The Bipartisan Fiscal Commission Finishes Its Work, I Will Spend The Next Year Making The Tough Choices Necessary To Further Reduce Our Deficit And Lower Our Debt.” (President Barack Obama, Remarks At The Cuyahoga Community College West Campus, Parma, OH, 9/8/10)
President Obama’s Budget Did Not Opt For “The Bold, Comprehensive Approach To Reining In The Fast-Growing Federal Debt That His Own Fiscal Commission Has Said Is Needed, Now.” “With the budget he is to unveil Monday, President Obama has not opted for the bold, comprehensive approach to reining in the fast-growing federal debt that his own fiscal commission has said is needed, now.” (Jackie Calmes, "A Cautious Approach Seeking Bipartisan Appeal," The New York Times, 2/13/11)

The conflicted and contradictory liberals in charge:
Oct 20, 2010 Clinton: “We haven't finished all of the analysis, so as I say, we've not yet signed off on it,” Ms. Clinton said in response to a question from the audience at the event on Friday. “But we are inclined to do so and we are for several reasons ... we're either going to be dependent on dirty oil from the (Persian) Gulf or dirty oil from Canada.”
Jan 19, 2012 Obama: "Earlier today, I received the Secretary of State’s recommendation on the pending application for the construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline. As the State Department made clear last month, the rushed and arbitrary deadline insisted on by Congressional Republicans prevented a full assessment of the pipeline’s impact, especially the health and safety of the American people, as well as our environment. As a result, the Secretary of State has recommended that the application be denied. And after reviewing the State Department’s report, I agree".
(Except that his own experts approved the final plan and selected the safest route as announced last August. OOPS!)
See how he set Clinton up to take the blame? |
