Hi, I'm a Muscatine Resident and a nurse. I also help people find books to read. I take books to nursing homes for the residents to read and give books to people who cannot afford them. This also encourages teens and others to continue reading. I'm asking anyone who has books to please donate them or I will over you cash for them. When trying to find foods and purchase them from thrift stores this can be costly as they continue to higher their prices. The sad part is they also take the books you donated to them and weed out the good books to be distributed to a center that makes money off of them. When you donate a book it should be offered to those who TRULY cannot afford to buy that book at the store price.. don't you agree?? This is a mision I have is to help others who need these books.
I have worked in many nursing homes that have very few books to read, games to play, or puzzels to put together. It is a very sad sight. If you have ever had a loved one in a nursing home who just sits in their wheel chair and stares at the wall with nothing to do.. you know what I mean.

For anyone who will be moving and don't want to haul their heavy books-Please help-I will come get them and make lots of people happy.
For anyone who is planning to give their books to the thrift store, please think again.. and let me help others obtain books that are out of their reach. Many thrift stores are asking 3-5 dollars for a book. This is a book you donated for free.
The prices started out around 80cents and many are now up to $4-$5. People on set income levels cannot afford to buy that book.
