Before we say goodnight. It was a 1993 Dakota. The good old American made 4x4 didn't have them. What a mess, the whole cab was twisted and where my husband's feet would rest was the outside air. What a crunching roar and silence in an instant. The guy who hit us had his wife and toddler with him. They were all belted in and their airbags did work alright but didn't save the guy from a seriously broken leg and some other nasty breaks. You know how us oldsters bones are. Robert didn't need hip reconstruction but suffered knee repairs that will be some time to completely heal, and a broken wrist and nose. both our old carcasses looked like we were targets in a purple chalk bag throwing contest thanks to the belts. Now the child was okay strapped in a child seating system of some fine construction, his wife was pretty scarped up and the car well that wasn't much to look at any longer. I tear up just thinking about it. I understand there were many accidents that morning. Well we thank the lord for our good fortune, even if it comes with some obstacles we wished hadn't. But in our cases, everyone is doing well considering. No law suits and no hard feelings. It was an accident on an icy curve at a fairly low speed and we all survived. It wasn't Robert's fault and even though the other guy was at fault, our insurances dealt with it fairly and quickly.  

Alright then, I missed the community chatting and am happy to give it a go again.

I don't really think one can defend limbaugh, marr, olberman, dobbs and so on. Any so called news commentator or reporter/entertainer that goes to the lengths these types do are indefensible. Should we not wish to watch or hear them the best course is to change the station or chanel. If you do feel as strongly, then don't buy the products of the sponsors that care more about them then the folks they are slamming, including politicians. I must asdmit, I listened to him for a long time but take a break now and then when he gets to attacking in such bizarre ways. I guess that means I miss those commercial elements whom sponsor them too.
