That is ignorant nonsense. The raising of the debt ceiling, along with insufficent action to reduce the deficit, were the factors that lead to the downgrading of the country's credit rating by S&P.
That is not nonsense. There were unreasonable demands by the R's for cuts in government services and resistance to tax increases that delayed the raising of the debt limit but the primary cause was failure to act. And they have still failed to act. |
