What has Watkins done to deserve three opponents in the Republican primary?   Has he been fraternizing?   Has he been too reasonable?   Has he been thinking for himself?

Thats exactly what he has done, he has proven himself to all of these issues, fraternizing, no, he merely does a good job.  In terms of reasonable, he isn't out to get anyone, but wanting to do a reasonable conservative job. In terms of thinking for himself, a supervisor shouldn't be a puppet to any special interest group, or individual power person.   Watkins is not self serving, and definitely self serving as many of them are. Viewing so many Sours signs for a position of the County Board of Supervisors makes me wonder who or what is backing the man, or more importantly, is he merely serving his self serving ego?  Spending thousands on signs for a $25,000 +/- a year, you have to wonder what his motivation is. May come down to ego trip or strung like a puppet for special members of the party.
