NSFW(?) - The reason why is because RP would be a better contender against Obummer and "they" don't want that, they set the GOP for failure this election year, it's painstakingly obvious. Obummer has been doing a fine job at carrying out policies written by the corporations, why would they ruin the good thing they have going? Its going to happen, just watch.
Another reason they want Obummer elected again is gun control, the rhetoric has just been getting stronger and stronger. This is the last piece of the puzzle. The fanatics and far-right evangelicals will lose their mind if he is elected again bringing on further division and invoking violence between both sides in order to initiate Martial Law and come for our guns.

The Republican Party platform on the Fed and a gold commission is terrible. Oh, and not only did Carter sign the first gold commission into law, not Reagan, it was weakened and almost destroyed by Reagan through his Wall Street crookster Don Reagan. Oh, and Ron Paul only got on the gold commission because House minority leader Bob Michel appointed him. Michel, a moderate, treated Ron with far more respect and fairness than any of the subsequent conservative and neoconservative Republican leaders. Eric Cantor, for example, has been Ron's special enemy.
NB: These platform changes are a result, not of party leaders seeing a little truth, but of an attempt to fool the Paulians into supporting Mitt "Tarp" Romney. Good luck on that! But they are also a backhanded tribute to the millions of people, especially young people, whom Ron has educated on monetary economics.

Ron, Carol, and one of their granddaughters left the GOP snake pit yesterday afternoon, but the State was not yet through with them. At the little airport in Clearwater, 8 TSA agents descended on them and ordered them not to board their private plane. First, the pilots, the airplane, and the passengers would have to be screened in great detail, because Romney might be nearby. After a long examination of the pilots and their credentials, the agents said they had to check the plane for explosives. One of the pilots noted that the plane, full of gas, was already a bomb. Then Carol Paul, who has a pacemaker, refused to be screened, and an aide started taking video of the whole rotten process. At that point, the TSA backed down and let them through, to Texas and freedom.
