Cell phone and flash drive advances were in part developed in Israeli universities or start-up companies. The mini camera used by doctors to diagnose and treat medical conditions is another product of Israeli scientist. Warren Buffett has investments in Israeli companies. Today only the United States has more companies listed on Nasdaq than Israel. Israel's venture capital community has strong ties to Silicon Valley and the Southern California and Boston technology centers. Israel is much more than a military ally - that is WHY.
