Apparently the shooter in Newtown was intelligent, but had some hang-ups.  I think it is important to note what the previous meeting was about.  We cannot overlook revenge yet.  Gun control as an issue to replace the mental troubles of this young man cannot be allowed to happen.

How far should mental control within our society?  Was there any way he could have been detected as a killer before and prevented it?  Then the question comes to the surface.  How much power do we give educators in detecting mental adaptability of their students?

One of my first reactions in hearing of this insane deed was one of wanting to make sure the killer died a slow painful death.  My next reaction was how could it have been prevented?

I still have no answers to these questions.

Have at it.  The root cause "killer" in this case is the democrat party and the liberals that have trashed the culture of morality and responsibility that preceded the mid 1960's.  I lived through it and do remember who and what kind of people were behind the promotion of the "if it feels good, do it", "the moral equivalency", the "secular humanism", "anti-establishment", and the "victim mentality" movement.  I can tell you, it wasn't the conservatives or Republicans.  We are now reaping what the liberals sowed.  And there will be worse to come.

This kind of mass murder type tragedy was not prevalent during the time period before 1960, when guns were readily available and few gun controls were in place.  What is different now?  I think we all know.  It has nothing to do with guns or gun control.  It has everything to do with decency, upbringing, culture, our sense of values and morality (and the lack thereof).

Blessed are the peace makers.

You have some statistics?   Not just your memory.

Are you nuts?   Or did you just arrive from another planet?  What the hell are you talking about?   The fact that:

1. These types of mass murders were not common before the 1960's,  and

2.  There were no strict gun controls or background checks (and firearms could be bought through catalogs and in other easy ways)

is recorded history!!!!!     Are you saying you doubt these facts?  What the hell is wrong with your brain?
