Here is the screwy way liberal politicians think about gun control especially in democrat run cities and states:
They may be illegals,
gang-bangers, and punks but they will vote the "Right Way" so the political
machine does not actually want to get rid of them or antagonize them by cracking
down. At the same time the violence and murder headlines do nothing for tourism
or the politicians reputations.
The answer, make all guns illegal and get rid
of them. If the supply is gone all over the state and / or nation there won't be
any more guns to buy, steal etc and the "problem" will go away without actually
needing to do anything like actually cracking down on the illegal imigration,
drugs, gangs, guns etc that would cut into the politicians support
base.
Of course; it did not work making the drugs illegal. I could never
understand why they actually think taking the guns from legal owners would keep
them from the hands of the gangs and criminals. If someone doesn't think twice
about smuggling in large shipments of drugs; why would they hesitate to smuggle
in large shipments of guns?
