Don't you people get it.  The reason Keystone is going to be constantly delayed is very simple.  Why should we build a pipeline to Texas when a new much more energy efficient refinery could be built in any of the midwest states such as N. Dakota, S. Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, save the pipelinemoney going to already very wealthy and controlling vested power groups.

Having that refinery north, may just lower the price at our pump.  One of the reasons our gas is more expensive, we are told, is the price of transportation.

What a dickhead. nobama won't allow any refineries to be built. Once the pipeline is operational, it costs very little to transport oil or gas compared to surface transport.

Besides, if we would just pump it into the Mississippi it would get to the Gulf anyway, according to malldavie. That would be very inexspensive transport, eh?

There are refineries in Kansas and Oklahoma.

I think your serious about the Mississippi.

I don't take orders from you and you don't set the rules here, davie. How many times have I told you that?

You don't take any suggestions or criticism from anybody do you?   I bet if I pointed out your fly was open, you'd crab at me and leave it that way.

You boys fail two more sciences.   Geography and geology.

Distance from tar sands to Houston on the Gulf, approx. 2,000 miles.

Distance from tar sands to Halifax on the Atlantic, approx 2,000 miles.

Distance from tar sands to Vancouver approx. 700 miles.

To Halifax goes mostly through the Canadian Shield.   Igneous rock under a thin layer of top soil or just bare rock.   Trees and lakes.   Tough excavation.

To Vancouver goes through the Rocky Mountains.  Lots of pumping required.   Lots of rock.

To Houston goes through mostly sand, loam, and clay.   Rock well below pipeline excavation.   Few trees.

The Canadians have already concluded that Houston is cheapest by far.   Good business decision for them, not us.

Stupid ass mallcontent-davie. The pipeline allows laterals to be built branching out to other energy customers along its route. What a stupid piece of shit for a human!

How many energy customers want tar sand oil?
