While answering a question about the fractured relationship between Israel and Turkey, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry likened the 2010 Gaza flotilla raid, where Israeli naval commandos boarded Turkish humanitarian ships bound for Gaza and killed 9 activists, to last week's bombing of the Boston Marathon.

"I know it’s an emotional issue with some people. I particularly say to the families of people who were lost in the incident we understand these tragedies completely and we sympathize with them. And nobody – I mean, I have just been through the week of Boston and I have deep feelings for what happens when you have violence and something happens and you lose people that are near and dear to you. It affects a community, it affects a country. We’re very sensitive to that," Kerry said during a press conference in Istanbul, Turkey on Sunday.

John Kerry, now there's a real waste of clothing.  He's mixing apples and oranges but is to stupid to know it!  Guess he fits right in with the Obama group of idiots.

Kerry is completely insane. I didn't see any U.S. military forces killing innocent people in Boston? This Banana Republic government is brought to you by Obama and the pro affirmative action MSM!

All he said is that he knows how it hurts when your countrymen are killed.

Are people really bored and dumb enough to split hairs about a comment like that?

It's called stating a moral equivalency, one of the primary weapons in the arsenal of cultural relativism. To wit,

"I particularly say to the families of people who were lost in the
incident we understand these tragedies completely and we sympathize with
them. And nobody – I mean, I have just been through the week of Boston
and I have deep feelings for what happens when you have violence and
something happens and you lose people that are near and dear to you."

Kerry is objectively correct; they're both examples of people in a country losing other people they care about through violence.   That's the only similarity he drew, and it's a similarity that exists.

Objectively, it is factual, and therefore not any example of subjective cultural relativism.

That, SD, is called doubling down on your doctrine of moral equivalency.

    •

Comparing the pain from losing an 8 year old boy wating for his father to finish a race to individuals who purposely put themselves in harms way is insensitive and dumb.

      Huh?   jeez...

Here we go again.   Another Extremist Liberal representing an extremist president... and he compares the Israeli defensive raid to a terrorist bomber?

I can remember when America had respectable Secretary's of State.    But under obama... we have had 'hillery' who never met a Benghazi that was important... and now a 'kerry' that thinks defense is comparable to terrorism.

No wonder we are under increasing attack.   The hostile world (which got bigger under hillery) thinks we are a bunch of blithering idiots.   It is a serious question when one asks... "can we survive obama'?

And to think, this guy was the better choice for Sec.of State. The talent pool in the Democratic party must be about as deep as their gene pool. So sad.

Well Mr. Heinz, you've certainly outdone yourself this time. Nine armed "activists" with weapons were killed after attacking Israeli forces. A junior jihadist on a killing rampage kills and injures scores of people. And you feel bad for the Turks? That's delusional thinking, but expected from someone who dishonored his own uniform. What's the next Hussein/Heinz apology tour?

Once again, Sec Kerry confirms that he is unsuited for his job!  He is an incompetent idiot promoted to a level of unmeasurable incompetence!

One sunny day in 2005 an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Ave, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the US Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry." The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir, Mr. Kerry is not president, he lost the election , George Bush was reelected President." The old man said, "Okay" and walked away.

The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry." The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Kerry is not the president." The man thanked him and, again, just walked away.

The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same US Marine, saying "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry." The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Kerry. I've told you already that Mr. Kerry is not the president. Don't you understand?"

The old man looked at the Marine and said, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."

The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow, Sir."

When Israel stopped the terror flotilla its soldiers were attacked and defended themselves.  Now Obama and Kerry are calling those Israeli soldiers stopping the terror flotilla terrorist.  This is disgusting.  The Obama regime hates Israel, supports Islamic Extremists, and both Israel and Americans are paying dearly for it.

Here's the latest obumbler mega screw-up:

Obama puts International Community in Charge of U.S. Security

by Keith Koffler on April 30, 2013, 2:51 pm

Well, I guess, you could say, at least someone’s in charge.

At his White House press conference today, President Obama said – I don’t think I’ve ever heard a president say this, but he said it – that a determination of whether to uphold U.S. national security would hinge of the precious thoughts of the international community.

Now I get that Obama wants to divorce himself from what he perceives – it’s not true, but it’s what he perceives – to be the go-it-alone stance of cowboy George W. Bush. But that means you try to get more buy-in from your allies. Not that you allow the various misfits, morons, and megalomaniacs in the international community to decide what’s right for Uncle Sam.

And yet, Obama said,

What is true, though, is, is that if I can establish in a way that not only the United States but also the international community feel confident is the use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime, then that is a game-changer because what that portends is potentially even more devastating attacks on civilians, and it raises the strong possibility that those chemical weapons can fall into the wrong hands and get disseminated in ways that would threaten U.S. security or the security of our allies.

So we need China to feel confident of this? Maybe the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt too? If the prospect of Syria’s leaders using chemical weapons is a threat to our security because Islamists could potentially capture them, then WE DECIDE whether to take care of the problem. Not some feudal ruler of the Arabian Peninsula.

What you witnessed today on Syria was the sight of a red line being moved. Obama had once made some kind of a threat that we’d get our serious bad boy attitude going if Syria used nuclear weapons. A “game changer,” he said. Except its clear that when Obama said that, he hadn’t bothered to think through what on earth he meant.

That’s why he said today:

By game-changer I mean that we would have to rethink the range of options that are available to us.

Talk about Chamberlainesque rhetoric: IF YOU MESS AROUND WITH ME, I’M GOING TO HAVE TO RETHINK THINGS!!

Oh boy, that will put the fear of Zeus in them.

The problem for Obama is that he made a very serious threat. And now any fourth grade bully can see he’s backing off of it. And the world is full of countries run by former fourth grade bullies who are taking note.

Obama should never have started discussing red lines. But since he did, he must do something to show he’s not an invertebrate.

I’ve got no idea what – the time for wading into the Syria conflict was long ago, when there was at least some prospect of a pro-Western result. Now there really isn’t. And even back then, it wasn’t clear that the upside of arming the rebels outweighed the downside.

“I don’t bluff,” Obama said when talking about his other red line on Iran. Well now the Iranians know he does. And that’s a very dangerous thing indeed.

Here’s the video of Obama’s remarks on Syria.

This asshole took an oath to protect and defend our country and constitution! The "international community" did not!
