I get back to Muscatine and the very first rumor I hear is that the Muscatine Mafia (I'm sorry, the City of Muscatine) has decided to close down Heink's. Is that true?
Yet another inspiring, uplifting message from mr gloom and doom.

Sorry, Hyinks is what I heard. Heinz won't close down, because Buffet owns them now, and the Muscatine Mafia won't mess with some one more powerful than them. |

I must be "out of the loop". I've heard nothing about anyone unjustly forcing Hyinks to go out of business. But if that is the case, why don't you do something about it? If you feel that strongly about it, why don't you provide them with sufficient funds to stay in business, or maybe hire a lawyer to fight this supposed unjustness? If you don't have the funds to do this, why don't you start a fund raising campaign to do it, etc.? I can't stand people who bitch about something without being willing to actually do something about it (or those who won't even define the problem)! By the way, congratulations on your release from custody. I hope you are not forced wear one of those restrictive ankle bracelets I've heard about. |
