Ok, the storm is over, when do we start to loot or do we just sit around and wait for the federal government to give us everything and then complain when we don't get phones and new houses and all the rest of the crap. We don't this is Iowa, we pickup and move on.

Oh boy Tinman, did you nail it.  I would add "help our neighbors" to "pickup and move on".

This whole situation with the siren is confusing.  Are we to believe none of Muscatines Emergency Management dispatch staff had access to radar, either on a computer or a cell-phone?  The warnings to the north and south were popping up by the minute for quite a while before this hit us.  Did nobody have a window to look out of?  There were 5-10 minutes when the wall cloud could be seen closing in.  Do they have to wait for an "official" government issued tornado warning before they can push the button?    Feel particularly bad for the folks working at Kreigers and elsewhere, those in trailers, those driving big rigs, and all the other people that really depend on the sirens for warning.
