Only not guilty could be given

After listening to all of those Zimmerman news comments, I must state that had this trial occurred in Iowa the verdict would have been the same.  The issue isn't about guilty or not guilty, its about Judges changing the law.   The Judge gave the Jury a very limited verdict arena.  Guilty, Not Guilty, Manslaughter.  He gave no other possibilities.  The jury could have made perhaps a completely different choice if they had the chance.

So what happens if the Jurors would have decided on Murder 1, or reckless driving.  The Judge would have thrown the case out and ordered a mistrial.  This happens a lot in Muscatine.

Maybe we should reconsider the "method" of justice?

You have posted some dumb stuff and this is right up there.

This Judge changed no law nor attempted to change law.  The Prosecutor charged two crimes, 2nd degree murder and manslaughter, which the Judge handed to the jury.  The manslaughter charge came in during the eleventh hour and the Judge still allowed it.  Also, the Judge was a she, not a he.  In seeing the facts of the case murder 1 would have been impossible to prove and reckless driving had nothing to do with the case.    Your blanket statement that "this happens a lot in Muscatine" is at best stupid.

So you dislike our method of justice?  Give us an example of a better one.

Attorney General Eric Holder in his talk to some group the other day talked about how the justice system is broken in this country to which I thought who has been in charge of the justice system for the last five years and most of the time used it to his advantage. Al Sharpton on PMSNBC yesterday talked about why didn't Martin get to use his stand your ground defense with Zimmerman? He did he just brought a fist to a gun fight.
