The recession ended in June 2009 as calculated by the economist's using the generally worldwide accepted definitions of recession. Obama didn't disagree or argue with them.

Those rules are set by the National Bureau of Economic Research. They say it ended June 2009. Most of the world accepts that with the exception of a few cranks and misfits. Try to live with it dear.
