Going back to the Clinton - Gingrich battle, and several others, the Shutdown/slowdown will be no different than previous ones.  The Republicans will loose seats in the House next election, the Democrats will gain in both the House and Senate.  Tea party people will vanish into political elected heaven, and we will see increase in jobs.

Because:

We will now have some affordable health care, our spending on health care will go down, and many more people will have insurance.  Women will be allowed to keep some of their rights, but the glass ceiling will get much thicker.

Now is the time to get rid of some of those military bases that are in the tea party districts.  

No different than previous ones? Wow! The 95/96 shutdown you mention under Clinton caused the first re-election of a Republican majority since 1928! It also gave us the first four consecutive balanced budgets since the 1920s. And personally, my Republican representative was able to get my passport issued so I could travel to see my exchange student son in Germany during the shutdown.

During the last shutdown was when Clinton and Lewinski began their affair. I wonder which intern is gonna get the shaft this time? I hope it's this one:
