As I said before, it's like watching a loved one die!!!

The World I’ve Known Has Come To An End

There was a time not so long ago when I could select my own doctor. There was a time when I could choose my health insurance company. There was a time when everyone believed Marxism was a failure, an idea relegated to the ash heap of history. There was a time when class warfare occurred in other places far away, but Americans believed in opportunity, not sponging from others.

Was that really not so long ago? It is true President Obama said he would transform America. He has lived up to his promise. Our Constitution has been twisted into an unrecognizable document. Washington has become a lawless town where criminals are heroes and heroes are ignored. Peace through strength – the bipartisan belief that military preparedness preserves order – has been converted into peace through prayer. If you hope for the best, it just might occur.

Although racial profiling has been lambasted, its opponents base racial fairness on a race based test, i.e. the number of arrests must be equal to the number of a racial group in a given community. If crime is committed by a racial group that is disproportionate to its number in the population, that’s too bad.

Common sense is on vacation. People who have violated the law and sing misogynistic lyrics are rewarded as millionaires in the rap world. Teachers who engage youthful students in sexual escapades cannot be fired. The aggregate pension liability for retired police officers and firefighters in New York City is more than the salaries of active employees. Laws that Congress passes for the rest of America do not necessarily apply to it. And a congressman tells us that the Tea Party, based on a grassroots effort to limit the expansion of government, is equivalent to the KKK and if you have the temerity to disagree with him, you are a racist.

Four Americans killed in Benghazi defending the ambassador and the embassy are ignored by the Secretary of State who said, “What difference does it make.” American students are more likely to know the winner on “American Idol” than the authors of the Federalist Papers.

Sophistry is the language of politics and television news. “Fairness” is taking from some and giving to others. Taxes are referred to as “investments.” Adversaries are enemies and enemies are friends. Islam is a religion of peace. The use of poison gas is a red line – oh, I meant a dotted line.  The IRS is an “independent agency.” A deadline was established for the introduction of Obamacare, but it wasn’t meant as a “deadline.” The president asserted and reasserted that “If you like your doctor or healthcare plan, you can keep it.” Lies are merely “misinterpretations.”

When there is so little to rely on, the basis for civilizational stability is undone. I observe tweeters on the street who communicate in 140 characters and cannot express a thoughtful opinion. Is it any wonder? Technology has given us many new opportunities, but these opportunities are saddled with toxins. So what if I can find out what you are having for dinner or who you are dating. Does it make a difference? All we have are distractions from what really matters.

What does matter are the interests of the nation. To my astonishment, the president has given Russia a veto over American foreign policy and the State Department has channeled foreign policy decisions through the United Nations, an organization reflexively opposed to American interests.

In surveying this landscape I realize that I am an alien in a foreign land. I don’t speak the language of puerile adolescents that dominate the media. I remain a patriot, albeit patriotism itself is an antediluvian idea. And I regard government’s coercive effort to redistribute wealth as theft. My world is at an end. There won’t be a funeral for the deceased nation, but there will be a lamentation. This is it.

1. I will have the most transparent administration.
2. I have Shovel ready jobs.
3. The IRS is not targeting anyone.
4. If four Americans get killed, it is not optimal.
5. ObamaCare will be good for America.
6. You can keep your family doctor.
7. Premiums will be lowered by $2500
8. You can keep your current healthcare plan
9. Just shop around, for that healthcare I claimed you wouldn't lose.
9A. I did not say you could keep your health care. (Regardless that 29 recorded videos show I did)
10. No one making less than $250,000 will see their taxes raised one dime.
11. It was about a movie.
12. If I had a son.

I'll repeat my questions?    Looking something up on the internet doesn't answer any of them.   I'm looking for your answers.   Your reasoning.    Your justifications.

What's this list supposed to be?

I can see where you can get most of them by a little distortion and removing context but a couple are a mystery right now and I don't feel like searching:

Numbers 4 and 11.    And why is "If I had a son" in the list?   Do you have a problem with that?

I repeat my thought about your place on this earth - you provide the rest of the world with laughs. You claim to be smarter than all of the rest of the folks who post here, that you have a higher IQ and then show that you are dumber than a box of rocks. There used to be a saying 'to make little girls like you ask questions' and I think that must apply here. If you do not know I think it is probably above your pay grade.

His Pants Caught Fire!!!!!!!

Carney vs. Karl: White House Unable To Point To Quote Obama Claims He Made On Obamacare

JON KARL: On Monday the president said that f you had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law, you really like that plan, what we have said is that you can keep it if it hasn't changed since the law was passed. I'm wondering, could you give me a citation of when the president ever said such a thing.

JAY CARNEY: Sure, we went through this the other day, the president was referring to the law, and I can obviously point you to the law, and people who covered it and wrote it.

KARL: But he says, "what we have said." When did he actually say that?

CARNEY: I understand, John, and I answered this the other day. I understand the point you're trying to make, John. What I said is that he was referring to the law, and to the publishing of the rule, which was covered, again, by news organizations. About the grandfathering clause, where Kathleen Sebelius and others were quoted.

The fact of the matter is, as you know, the vast majority of the American people already receive health insurance through their employer, or Medicare or Medicaid or through the Veterans Administration. 15% of the country is uninsured. And because of the expansion of Medicaid or the marketplaces, they have available to them quality affordable health insurance for the first time.

Five percent of the country gets its insurance on the individual market. The law is written so that those who had plans when the law was passed could have those plans grandfathered in, and the point -- I understand that there's a lot of discussion about this, and, but if you had that plan before the law passed, you're grandfathered in.

What is absolutely the case is in the market itself, in that section of the insurance market, the individual insurance market, there is a tremendous amount of turnover, and there always has been. People come in and out of that market, their policies are routinely changed or adjusted, often downgraded. In this case if you had a plan that was downgraded, and therefore, a plan that already did not meet ACA standards that was grandfathered in was made even less compliant with minimum standards, then it would not be grandfathered in.   (Blah, blah, blah.....In other words, he never said what he said he said, ............this time also.........that's a ditto....just another whopper from the whopmeister in chief)

Leno: Obama "Such A Good Speaker, He Almost Believed It Himself And Then His Pants Caught Fire"

JAY LENO: President Obama saw gravity today. Not the film, his poll numbers, not good. The latest polls show President Obama's approval rating down to 39%. And Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's approval rating went up to 49%. How does this make Obama feel? He's better off smoking crack than passing Obamacare. He would have been up ten points. Would have been ten points higher!

Actually, have you noticed the president backtracking a little bit on this whole deal? Like at a fundraiser earlier this week, President Obama said, 'No, no, no.' What he promised was that you could keep your health care plan if it hasn't changed since the law has passed. You know, he's such a good speaker, he almost believed it himself. And then his pants caught fire. That's when I knew. When I saw -- when the pants caught fire.
