Muscatine Republicans are divided

The way I see it, the Republican Party in Muscatine is about tp explode, or possibly implode.   The local political races are shaping up to make quite a show:

2nd ward Alderman race:  The Tea party  assumed there should be good government in Muscatine, and didn't bother to consider there were Republicans who received a considerable amount of cash for services provided to Muscatine.  Result the existing Republican Alderman announced he was going to run for State Legislator spot and take this away from the existing legislator who felt he could beat the local Democratic U.S. Representative and announced his intent.  This, of course, left a void in the existing position to be filled, which his daughter announced she would run for.  The reasoning one Tea party member moves up to higher  races and his existing state spot would be filled by his Tea Party daughter.

Not happy with the Republican insiders that have a steady cash flow from the City and wants it to continue.  Result the existing Alderman announces he will run, against his daughter for the position, however, the existing Tea Party Republican forgot that even though he was a Rep. he wasn't a "good old Boy", so another candidate comes out of the woodwork, one that will have all of the money behind him.

Why take a chance, he is also running for alderman as well, why not take him out at that level.  So another Tea Party comes along, even though originally from, but having spent way too many years in Washington, originally as a Representative Leach's aid, but to return to Muscatine and become a local Republican Party yes boy and now candidate for the 2nd ward alderman race. Reasoning; knock out that moderate Republican 2nd ward alderman, and you knock out his chances of winning the Iowa House Candidate.   Man, look an Rehwaldt's donation list and you saw a manifest of the back room Republican wealth and membership.

Next chapter after the election next week.

An interesting analysis, Rep. but where does Carlson fit in here?   It seems to me he is the real big money candidate.

Should I vote against Lerete to make him look bad so he loses the house seat, or should I vote against Rehwaldt to prevent him from getting a start in being another trouble maker.

The campaign mailer I got makes me think against Rehwaldt.

Anyone else catch that mallcontent does not even realize how uninformed mallcontent appears; by just this post alone?
