O. K. elections are over. Mayor is the same and in January Rehwaldt is the new second ward alderman. Having out spent his opponent $26.00 to $1.00, Rehwaldt is in. Is he Tea Party, lets see if he is?
So, why would a person who has been in Muscatine for such a short time even be interested in being an alderman? This could be answered possibly by someone had to do it, all the way to there is a hidden agenda.
Whats next? How about the election in 2014 for the Iowa State House, where the list of Republicans is fairly long. Starting with Eliz. Lofgren, who turned tail and ran. It started when she thought she would be running unapposed and no primary. Then comes LaRette, ex chair of Republican Central Commitee. Then comes Carleson, money front man for years, stooge of the Republican back room, and will get endless amounts of money from every direction. By endless we mean endless. Even GPC, HON, and many others will back him with very deep pockets.
But what better way to eliminate a primary than to eliminate all other candidates.
