On the other hand, we have this:  Per Federal Law, two ID's are required to open a bank account!  Apparently, assuring accuracy and credibility are more important to the government in money matters than in voting matters.:

"Opening Bank Accounts: Identification Required

• Federal law requires certain personal identification documents to open a bank  account. You need a valid photo ID such as a driver's license, state-issued or  military ID. Non-citizens must provide their alien registration number. You must  have your Social Security number and proof of your address (a utility bill or  apartment lease will do). Anyone can go to the First National Bank receptionist's desk and read the requirement posted there in plain sight.

I remember my surprise the first time I voted. I took my driver's license out to show to the ladies at the voting area and was told I didn't have to show ID to vote. From then on, I vote the Chicago way... early and often!
