Last night, in a particularly refreshing moment of candor, Barbara Walters shared her disillusion over the ObamaCare failure.
During an interview with Piers Morgan, she was asked why President Obama didn’t live up to his hype. This is a question that would not need to be directed at any conservative, because every conservative knew from the beginning that he wouldn’t live up to his hype.
“He made so many promises,” Walters said. “We thought that he was going to be − I shouldn’t say this at Christmas time − but the next Messiah.”
Actually, Ms. Walters should refrain from calling Barack Obama “the next Messiah” at any time, not just Christmas time.
However, we do appreciate the acknowledgement of her partisanship. She said “we”.
Of course, by “we” she means 1) anyone caught up in the excitement of a good looking Presidential candidate who was basically an empty suit back in 2008 and 2) every member of the lamestream media, including herself. We appreciate the fact that she is so honest about her sentiments as well as those of her colleagues in the news business who helped hand Barack Obama win two Presidential elections.
Sadly, she’ll never top that media blowhard Chris Matthews who is famous for saying that he got a thrill up his leg every time Barack Obama spoke.
But viewing Barack Obama as “the next Messiah” is a close second.
