The world’s 85 wealthiest people hold as much wealth as the poorest 3.5 billion, or half the world population, according to a new report from global anti-poverty group Oxfam.
Those 85 average $20 billion each. Who knows what the highest is? A hundred billion? Two or three hundred billion? And they're accumulating it faster every day. Do you all honestly think that is the best situation and is in the best interests of the world and particularly to each of you
I'd like to see a little of that used for making the world a better place. Liking stopping the wars in Syria and South Sudan and helping the victims of the Philipine typhoon.
Do you know if some of that wealth is not used for the causes you list? Wealthy people are, as a rule, quite generous so I would not rule out their supporting great causes. |

We've had this discussion before (who gives more to charity? dems or repubs?) It always comes out that the repubs and conservatives give significantly more to charity than the hypocrit and chintzy liberals. I'd like malodery to just shut up now. All in favor say aye? |

Don't buy the liberal bullshit about how they want to take money away from us to "help" the "poor"! Their real goal is to gain more control and power over everyone. Don't ever forget that. |
