Muscatine

The Quad City Times just ran an editorial board column making specific mention of the use of tasar in the Muscatine County Jail.   This leads me to the question where the hell is the Muscatine Journal Newspaper?

The Journal quotes the Des Moines Register, the Times writes their own, and the Journal endorses Torture through silence.   County Supervisors endorses torture through silence, County Atty. endorses torture through lies to newspapers, and we will just keep hoping we aren't next on the hit list of our county employees.

That there "tasar" is 14 ft. long!  How did they get it into a jail cell?   And how did they use it to torture someone?   Maybe deployed it as a dinghy?  Although it sounds like it is more of a fun family type thing rather than a torture device.

"The Tasar is a 14-foot (4.3 m) fiberglass 2 person sailing dinghy with a mainsail and jib. Designed by Frank Bethwaite of Sydney in 1975, the boat is technologically advanced. Just what is it you want the Journal to do? They report the news and have on the taser issue. They are not "60 Minutes."
