Man oh man have I seen a bunch of empty cars warming up in the morning and ready for kids taking a joy ride or stealing them....Sure hope they are locked, but I think the police blotter showed many more stolen recently...

Be smart and don't let the kids or criminals steal your car- or even borrow it

It happens every winter and it is amazing that people never seem to learn. Hopefully a joyride for kids and found a few blocks away with no damage...but

Make sure you lock your car and use the other set of keys to gain entry

Get one of the remote car starting models

Have someone sit in the car while warming

OR

you may watch the car being driven away from the window or

call the police and file a stolen car report and what a waste time and your money!

they will be warm and nice to buy a new car if you got the bucks

With the snowstorm...it may seem easier to warm up your  car to get ride of ice and snow...but be nearby or lock your doors to watch and make sure the tailpipe is not blocked with snow for safety reasons..

Take a break when shoveling...it will help keep you alive and w/o a stroke or heart attack if the snows are heavy...
