Can't the plows keep the curb cuts open for access?

I have some neighbors with kids in strollers and elders with wheelchairs that can not get out easily in the winter because the plows push all the snow at the corners.

Seems if not illegal, it should be at least a common courtesy to come back and clean up these spots.

Does the city really care on those in need?Cry

What a needed thing as I hate to have people come here in the winter..It is all blocked up at the curbs and neighbors disabled and older really suffer.

Great thought to get dpw on to it

I bet they could do it easily on their followups or maybe even the supervisors who must have little plows on their trucks and follow up these guys.

I too have neighbors with these possible problems and I too am getting older and am sure will be less able in the future and to face a prison within for the winter is a real bummer.

We will try to talk to DPW about this after the snowfall...Seems like a possible solution especially in areas we know there are a lot of elderly, but you can always call DPW to suggest and to have followup crew for a poorly done street- your street!

Has anyone noticed the pothole population increase?
