Dear Arthur,
Recent possible gang-related shooting near 75 John Street proves too close to my home in East Pleasant View. One 16 year old wounded seems terrible enough. Nevertheless, what makes this shooting more ominous for parents and police seems to be the absolute disregard of potential victims by the shooter. Nearby, about 50-100 youths swish hoops at the John Street playground every day.
If gang situation remains unchecked, another shooting may cause additional innocent victims.
On an unrelated matter, can police force parents to better watch their children? In a nearby home, several young children ride their bicycles without regard to traffic.
This spring owns the possibility of being a sad, tragic time.
Peace,
Ludlow1
