Hi everyone.....It was brought to my attention today that the empty Weeden Manor on Walnut Street in Quality Hill is up for sale.   What was most concerning to learn is that the current owner - I believe the Pawtucket Congregational Church, is beginning to strip this building of some of its unique, historic features - like a large stained glass window. The window opening has now covered up by boards.    I understand this stained glass window can now be found and purchased at RI Antiques Mall.   What is most disturbing to me - regardess of "who owns what".......is that many of our historical buildings in Pawtucket are either being demolished or destroyed - which is a great historical loss to our City.

Quality Hill Association has been trying on the mansion to save it..so with the church hurting and selling buildings, they do not really care I assume...$ speak volumes.

Dear PSZ,

You have good investigative skills.  When Route 95 was built in Pawtucket in 1960-1962, many old buildings had their fixtures removed from Pawtucket to be restored in Foster-Glocester, RI and Connecticut?.    Does this mean the removal of the stained glass means the building may be demolished?  Does having a building on Quality Hill have a special Historical status?

Again, good viewing of what is happening to Historical structures for the past two generations.
