The market has plenty of free parking, is across the street from the bus station, and neighbors the Blackstone River, the perfect place for a Sunday picnic. This July shoppers can expect to find tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, kale, carrots, lettuce, blueberries, raspberries and more! The Pawtucket Farmers Market will provide free hands-on nutrition education, through a program called Healthy Foods, Healthy Families, with funding from Blue Cross Blue Shield of RI. Families that receive WIC or SNAP benefits can sign up for Healthy Foods, Healthy Families at the market. The program includes recipes, shopping tips, children’s activities, and cooking demonstrations. All materials and lessons will be in English and Spanish. After participating in the program for three weeks families will receive $25 in Fresh Bucks (tokens for the farmers market).
