We can encourage more school youth to get involved with projects for the city from cleanups to painting to playgrounds to coat drives as many helped our efforts in the past and more could learn valuable lessons

Check the Burriville ABC 6th graders with their efforts on bullying and a coat drive for needy people as a recent example but the Democracy Prep kids collected a van load of coats for our Nov 26th Coat Day and even helped to sort them as well at the Visitors Center

With interest rates so low, perhaps some of the deficit the city faces could be be put in the form of notes that Pawtucket residents could buy a minimal amount to help their personal income and help the city recover as well keeping th $ here in Pawtucket and save some expensive underwriting without cutting needed city jobs.

Can we get more people enrolled in adult education classes now to be ready for better skilled work in the future or perhaps to volunteer for some supportive jobs in the city that won't get done with the cuts and perhaps in return some free training at Woodlawn Community Center and BVCAP as an example.

Computer and English Classes registration for classes from Jan 18th to March 31st

Call 475-7632 to register or stop in at WCC 210 West Avenue Pawtucket where classes are held.

Registration for many things start in January so a good way to get the year started

Could there be some contest so residents might see some ideas...maybe an award for city workers who probably know all the abuses and savings that could occurr
