PURPOSE OF THE FORUM:
This forum will provide an opportunity for behavioral healthcare practitioners, students and other interested community members to learn about the vital components of effective service provision to returning military members, veterans, and their families. Exhibits will help participants network with existing community resources, local experts and veterans’ service organizations. While those attending will not become experts as a result of this event, they will enhance their understanding about the culture of the military and the consequences of combat, and learn how to develop an appropriate referral network, so that they may effectively engage and assist in supporting the addiction recovery of this population.
