Dear friends,

Read the Pawtucket Times article about the Oak Hill Duffy Courts being padlocked recently due to littering and vandalism problems.  What the reporter failed to note was only the Oak Hill basketball courts  were padlocked due to litter.  Why was not the entire playground, the tennis courts and kiddie land , padlocked?

In closing,  for consistency reasons, the entire Oak Hill playground area should be padlocked until the garbage or vandalism problem is resolved.  Maybe garbage problems would be reduced if someone puts an accessible trash can for the basketball players.

If it's the ball players littering, why punish the children using the playground? We usually go to Lippitt Park but our friends on Cleveland practically live at the Duffy tot lot. They don't leave garbage, either.

If there is no trash can near the courts, I'm sure providing one would help.
