2012 Vita sites & info-2013 will be similar Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Sites: Individuals and families earning less than $50,000 are eligible for free tax assistance through VITA sites across the state.

For more information about tax credits that can assist families, see the EITC section of our Guide. The Rhode Island Department of Taxation: The Department's free walk-in tax preparation service will assist Rhode Islanders with their Rhode Island income tax returns, including a tax relief claim form. The service is provided at the agency's offices, One Capitol Hill, Providence, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm on business days.
