SSI and SS a must for direct deposit?
In August, anyone who gets Social Security retirement or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits should have received a notice with their monthly check that emphasized the need to switch to electronic payments by March 1, 2013. When you talk to clients, ask them if they received the insert and urge them to switch to electronic payments ahead of the deadline. If they don’t make the switch, they may see an interruption of benefits come March.
