GCD OFFERS $3,450 SPRING SEMESTER FELLOWSHIPS

The Governor’s Commission on Disabilities is now accepting applications for three fellowships. The fellowships offer students a unique opportunity to gain perspective on the role and responsibility of the Commission, the formation of public policy, the human rights of people with disabilities.

The fellows will assist the Commission:

¨     Providing technical assistance on removing environmental barriers to full inclusion of people with disabilities; and

¨     Providing technical assistance on expanding employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

The fellow receives a stipend of $3,450.

The fellowship starts in January and goes until the end of May.  All students who are disabled or interested in pursuing a career in public relations or education or human services for persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

To be eligible for employment the student must satisfy the following requirements.
