RI CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL: May 4-5, 2013
Saturday, May 4, 5-9PM
2013 marks the 101st Anniversary of the original gift of cherry trees from Japan to the United States in 1912. This year's event, organized in partnership with the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council, will feature:
- lighting of the Roosevelt Avenue Bridge with speaking engagement at sunset
- bike tour of leisurely 10-mile ride from the festival site in Central Falls to the Kelly House in Lincoln along the Blackstone Valley Bikeway
- free kayak rides available at Charles Street Chocolate Mill Overlook
- greet the 203 Cherry Blossom Princess, Stacie Waleyko
- great music and food

NAVIGANT RUNNING FESTIVAL: Sunday, May 5, 2013
The Half Marathon offers a beautiful loop through the historical Blackstone Valley. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic views along the Blackstone River and Canal.
Youth Run: 10:30AM
5K: 11AM
5K: 11AM
The 5K course will take runners through historical Pawtucket.
All races start on Roosevelt Ave, Pawtucket, RI. Long Sleeve techical shirts to the first 1,100 entrants (5K/Half Marathon). All entries after 1,100 will receive a short sleeve shirt. Register at cherrytreerun.com
