2014 Poetry Out Loud State Finals!
The Rhode Island State finals of Poetry Out Loud
Sunday, March 16th at 1PM at the RISD Museum's Chace Center.
Free and open to the public.
Come support finalists from local high schools as they compete to represent Rhode Island at the national recitation contest in Washington DC! |
The winner of the Poetry Out Loud Rhode Island finals receives $200 and an all-expenses-paid trip to compete in the National Finals. The winner’s school will receive a $500 stipend for the purchase of poetry books and the RI State POL Trophy. The second place finalist will receive $100, with $200 for his or her school library. The 2014 Poetry Out Loud National Finals will take place April 28-30 in Washington, DC

Featuring 100 pieces of diverse visual artwork, this exhibit honors Paul Sherlock, a man who has had a significant impact on the community of people with disabilities throughout RI, and celebrates his accomplishments by spotlighting the artistic talents of VSA arts RI’s adult artists with a wide range of physical, mental health and developmental disabilities.
Free and open to the public.
Atrium Gallery hours are weekdays 8:30am - 4:30pm.
