Registration for the 2014 Rhode Island Cancer Summit, "Cancer: The Rest of the Story," is now open. The all-day Summit, on Thursday, June 12, will be held once again at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick. CEUs are offered, and we will have numerous exhibitors. Highlights will include:
- A morning panel on behavioral health and substance abuse issues facing cancer survivors and their caregivers, and policy implications for coordinated care
- A session on oncology nutrition with a cooking demonstration by a local celebrity chef
- An afternoon devoted to long-term survivorship issues, such as fertility planning, sexuality/ intimacy, and lymphedema
- Exhibitors offering a wide range of advocacy and cancer care services
This Cancer Summit is designed to equip medical and behavioral healthcare professionals, advocates, and cancer survivors and their caregivers with the knowledge and resources we all need to improve survivorship across the lifespan.
