FYI - Please note a live Web broadcast through KTAR...might be the best place to watch the proceedings. Since it will be so crowded and well covered, I think I'll watch on the computer.

We are expecting about 600 and it will be well covered via media outlets and a live web broadcast through KTAR. You are welcome to come but I would suggest you arrive early.

Do you have any idea how many you expect tonight? Would it be all right if I came and took notes for my Mesa Grande distribution list?

Good Morning,
Tonight we will be advising everyone to take precautions and try not to be out alone in early morning hours or late night hours until the shootings are resolved.

Neighbors:
I just got back from vacation and found this message to pass on. Since then, we had an overnight killing at Brown and Gilbert last night, a young woman. I don't know all the details, but I'm sure they will be available at the meeting tonight. If anyone has an inside line on any of this, and wants to share with us, please do so.
I feel especially blessed to have had a broken spoke on my outside bike...the Saturday before the first shooting mentioned below. For several months I was getting up at 4:30 a.m. and within the time frame of the shooting I was riding the canal paths in the neighborhood of Stapley and Brown. Since breaking the spoke, I have decided it is too dangerous to ride at that time in the morning, so I'm riding my inside bike now.
From personal experience, I can say that almost any morning I rode that route I could have been killed without seeing the killer or anyone else seeing the killer, because there just aren't many people out at that time in the morning. It is a wonderful time of day, crisp and clear and the coolest part of the day and the bike paths are clean and nice...but until this person is caught, I think it is too dangerous for me to be out at that time, or late at night.
If anyone goes to this meeting, please email me what the PD asks us to do, so I can share it with everyone.
Thanx!
Bob Parker, Secretary
