It seems that we are on our own again. Gordon Hartman obviously does not plan to finish the subdivision any time soon. I am looking into the possibility of starting an unofficial association in which we pay dues for the maintenance of our subdivision. My main concerns are the condition of the perimeter fence and the landscaping at the entrance.
If you have any ideas as how to establish some guidelines, I would really like to hear from you.
It's up to us to make this neighborhood a safe and pleasant place to live.

Thank You!!!
I'm glad that I'm not the only one concerned about the upkeep of "Our Subdivision." As a new resident of Northwest Oaks I was not aware of how to address the appearance of our perimeter fence & empty lots. I will be happy to attend the neighborhood meeting next week to discuss these issues.

Association
It was our understanding that Hartman was responsible for upkeep until he had sold a certain percentage of the lots; is this not right? I would be happy to get involved in any effort to fix the entrance to the neighborhood. Please let me know if there are any immediate plans. This is only a suggestion, but I wondered if maybe we could assign sections of the perimeter to individual households?

neighborhood
Thanks for responding to my message. Gordon has totally turned everything over to us. He says he is willing to pay dues on his property if we set up an association. It is up to us to set this up. I am looking into possibly merging with our neighbors in Northwest Park. Or we can start up our own association. The second option would be more work since we would be starting from scratch. Either way, we must do something in order to be more productive in maintaining our neighborhood. If you have any questions, please e-mail me or call me at 520-5066.
Thanks again.
