The North Central Area Commission is a voluntary citizen group in the North Central area of Columbus Ohio. It was established to facilitate communication and cooperation between neighborhood groups, city officials and developers and to afford citizen participation in decision-making process in an advisory manner.
This web page was set up to provide information about the North Central Area Commission as well as various resources in the area. There are links to government, education, health and community resources.
Starting in December 2004, meetings will be held the 1st Thursday of each month, at The Tray Lee Center, 1362 Sigsbee located at the corner of Sigsbee & 12th Avenue off of Joyce Avenue, 6:30 p.m. The November and December meetings will be held on Thursday, December 2nd.
Due to the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, the North Central Area Commission will meet on December 2nd for both the November and December meetings.
Commissioners are elected representatives from their neighborhoods. The Commission meets the 1st Thursday of each month.
Commissioners vote on neighborhood issues, and make recommendations to City Council.
The North Central Area Commission has 10 Area Commissioners, 1 Mayoral Appointee and 4 Commissioners-At-Large.
