Anyone else get a letter in their mailbox today from pam at almost home? She had a three page newsletter claiming that the new HOA has no legal rights to manage or collect monthly dues. It looks like she didn't take too kindly to residents not paying. I thought that almost home had resigned their control. I'd like to see all this hoa drama wrapped up once and for all.

As a new addition to the neighborhood I'm also in favor of less drama. I spoke briefly with Pam today, she is certainly a bit fired up. Does anyone know what all those city trucks were doing here the other day? Is the city working on getting individual meters and/or incorporating our roads with greater KCMO? Seems like that would simplify quite a lot if they were.

Hi. It's Pam with Almost Home in KC. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to respond. Almost Home in KC was hired to do a job - and it is still doing it. As far as being "fired up" well - it is sort of like deciding which child to feed when there is only a little food. If all the homeowners paid their dues ... there would be plenty of money to take care of everything. It is a struggle to pay for everything when there are homeowner's that are SUBSTANTIALLY behind. As far as Almost Home not taking too kindly to residents not paying, I hope those paying don't take kindly to their neighbors who do not pay either. |
