The project has been turned over to Jason Zern as he has a background in pump station design and operation. He thinks he'll be able to answer any questions we may have concerning the improvements necessary to the sewer system in our area, and the maintenance requirements.
The project has slowed from the original pace, so there are no immediate plans for a public meeting. The county hired a consultant to design the pump station and is in the process of contacting the owner of the Weiner property to start preliminary site investigations. Once those investigations are finished, they will provide the county with a preliminary design, which is when Zern can meet with the residents. He hopes that will happen later this winter or early spring. This time frame depends on the cooperation with the owners of the Weiner property.
The County typically coordinates public meetings through the civic association president, as many times project meetings are scheduled in conjunction with an annual civic association meeting. [NHCA meets in April] As mentioned above, that meeting will be scheduled once he has more information on the design requirements of the pump station, which will hopefully come later this winter or early spring.
