North Laguna Creek is located in southwestern Sacramento California, near Laguna Creek. This area previously lacked any identity because the "community" was artificially divided by various geographic and political boundaries. Neighbors have taken a pro-active role to ensure their families will enjoy the highest quality of life possible. Neighbors overwhelmingly agreed to pay an additional tax to pay for the design and development of a 22 acre park. This park, adjacent to a protected wildlife area, has become the "heart" of the neighborhood and is celebrated each year with a "Park Day."
Neighbors also organized the North Laguna Creek Neighborhood Association which recently achieved non-profit status administered by 12 Directors. The Directors represent and advocate issues for the people living and working in the North Laguna Creek area.. The purposes of this group of volunteers are to provide education and charitable assistance to the general public to promote and maintain desirable neighborhood characteristics. These include, but are not limited to: 1) a "clean & green" appearance, 2) good schools, 3) low crime, 4) feeling of "community", (5) something "special" in the area, and 6) an influencial voice in local government.
Everyone is invited to attend monthly meetings and to become involved in issues and activities that are important to our community.
