Trash in neighborhood

Posted in: Woodlands
This neighborhood is looking more and more like a lower income subdivision everyday and the trash in the common areas is one of the problems. If you live across the street from the common area, pay attention....don't be lazy. I don't care if its not on your property, just pick it up once in a while.
trashy neighborhood

AMEN!!!!

I don't know how others feel, but I feel like we paid enough $$$ for a beautiful home in a beautiful subdivision, and we all need to look beyond our noses and do what we can to keep our little hollow looking the way a neighborhood with $150K+++ houses ought to look.

I also believe the biggest problem is the rental homes here. We currently have a problem with a rental nearby that has 5-6 vehicles per night parked outside. They allow their dog to roam, pooping in others' yards. We complained to Ghertner and they contacted the owners who addressed the situation, and at least the renters have moved their utility trailer. It's just a fact that if you are a homeowner, you take more pride in your residence. We need to press the association and Ghertner to make homeowners who rent out their property follow the CC&Rs just as everyone else does.
neighborhood's Antioch feel

Agree with what has been said regarding the trash/subdivision. I would be interested in participating in a clean up crew. The homeowners should be ashamed of the trash and condition of the neighborhood.......The Board needs to be more active and help stop the neighborhood's slide toward an Antioch/Nolinsville Rd. look and feel.
Rent house subdivision

As long as this neighborhood serves only as a ''dropoff'' to spend a few years before moving on, it will always be a ''transition zone'' type area. Its a shame seening how beautiful and unique this area is that it will probably never get any better and most probably has started the slide to a rent house area. At this point in time I do not think spending money to improve these homes can be justified as people need only go down the road toward Brentwood for a better investment.
