Thanks to Mr. Ben Davis for his post but why has it taken so long for anyone on the Board to post any information?
Mr. Davis, you make mention of enforcing the codes, but I request the Board start enforcing the Codes NOW and, if need be, set up a system so that the responsible Board members could be notified regarding infractions of the CC/R so that the homeowners can be made aware of the fact that they are not in compliance with the CC/R. (I am ashamed that I have to request this as I so do not want to do this but something NEEDS to be done in order to improve Woodlands subdivision. I would like to hear if any other homeowners feel this way or are satisfied with the status quo.
As has been stated in a previous post, this website needs to be utilized by the Board which would include posting of Board minutes and monthly responses by you or other Board member regarding the main issues disscussed in the message section of this website.

WHOA Board Postings
I'd like to draw your attention to Mr. Davis' reply dated 12-4 to the ''homepage and board'' posting. He does not appreciate ''anonymous'' postings, which I admit I am guilty of, but from now on I'll post my name.
I agree that the violations of the CC&Rs within the Woodlands need to be addressed, and would venture to say most of us do. I am not happy with the status quo, but that seems to be what we have. No one has provided Oscar with minutes of the last board meeting, which he has graciously volunteered to post. I like to think we all are interested. I also believe that all homeowners should be given a copy of at least the highlights, stuck in mailboxes, so those without computers would receive the same information.
I have found instead that Joy at Ghertner will only return a phone call when cornered. The board does not post any info, in fact it took a considerable amount of time for the president to view the site. The newsletter we do receive occasionally is actually an advertisement for a real estate agent, with a reminder of ''no garage sales'' thrown in.
I have accomplished more with direct calls to Metro, and believe it or not, this was on the advice of the receptionist at Ghertner. When I told her about the abandoned trailers and UHaul at the top of Woodlands Ave., she told me who to call with Metro Health Dept. Within 2 weeks the site was cleared. Oh, and Scott Ghertner called me back that afternoon with an apology on Joy's behalf; this after weeks of leaving her msgs. Let's see the true picture here: a smart receptionist was proactive in providing me with a possible solution instead of just taking another message; a smart homeowner (myself, toot toot) made a few phone calls and got the problem solved. The only management association involvement was by the receptionist, and there was no board involvement, though messages had been left for them also.
I suppose we should be grateful that our WHOA dues are low, but then, you get what you pay for.

WHOA Board Postings
I seriously doubt if NES, which maintains this site, will allow us to post the minutes of board meetings. On a free web site, the space for posting is quite limited. On the other hand, the Woodlands Newsletter is perfect for that purpose.
Also, board minutes are dull. No hidden secrets to be found there.

Posting Board Minutes
I wanted to clarify a couple of things about how the WHOA site works. First, NES has underwritten the cost of this site as a ''Good Neighbor'' gesture. That's why their banner is at the top of the site, but they aren't responsible for maintaining it, Neighborhood Link is. Because of NES, the site will always be free for you and your neighbors.
Second, there is no rule saying you can't post Board Minutes - in fact we encourage you to post anything that is of interest to the community. You can add as many ''Community Pages'' as you like, and can also post as many Newsletter articles as you like.
I hope that clears up some of the confusion. Feel free to contact Neighborhood Link if you have questions.
