Suggestions

Excuse me, someone did made suggestions in a deleted thread that positive info about our local students be presented, like Honor Roll lists, Principals list etcetera. Barnes even referred to that suggestion by someone else in one of his postings. From what I understand Barnes writes those articles in the local newspapers about the MJHS swim team, that several of our neighbors have been mentioned in. Has anyone asked him for input into the newsletter? I doubt it considering how much he is villianized for his efforts. He's right in regards to Board news about youth, the Board reminds us constantly about vandalism, but never presents a positive side about the vast majority of the youth.

Yes, Teresa, you are right. You have posted. You are the only one that posts answers in length. Will and M. Bretell post quickies, usually telling us the questions were already answered (they weren't satisfactorily answered).

I don't think the Board has a deep dark consipracy against us, that's stretching things a little bit isn't it Teresa? A more reasonalbe explanation is that the Board makes mistakes and then some of the members and leadership (not all) is too prideful to admit to it's mistakes. They rather attack the messenger than do what is right and correct a mistake. As Barnes would say, ''stand up''.

Peace on earth.

Deleted Thread

Problem is, everyone sees any sort of critism as negative. The thread that was deleted had almost everything you mention above in it. Including some thank you's to the Editor. There have even been some good ideas on how to better reduce waste in the Newsletter without eliminating the minutes. If the Board would spend more time listening to the critism, considering the input and answering the questions, rather then concentrating on the negative and getting defensive, we would all be served better.

In a few minutes I am going to repost the questions that have been raised (to the best of my memory anyway). I hope the Board takes the time to listen and answer this time...

Improvements

That is just what we are working on, improvments. It has always been advertised that if anyone (including Mr. Barnes) has an article to submit, they are welcome. We are trying to make it better. Please have some patients.
minutes

You could put the minutes back in and still make it better. Seems this would be a nice compromise for everyone.
