Neighborhood Watch

I am interested in participating in a neighborhood watch program. Do we have one here in the Hearthwood Neighborhood? If so we need tomake it more visable. I am on 147th between 9th and 7th and we have seen an increase in criminal activiy. Teens going into back yards, breaking in through bathroom windows. Theft of neighbors work equipment from their vehicles. There was a man asking directions the other day, as we left our driveway he was breaking into a neighbors vehicle in broad daylight. I want this to be safe place to raise my family. But it takes us watching out for eachother for that to happen. My neighbor who has had breakings on their work vans with increasing frequency along with being vandalized have aske the Police Depatment for increased patrols after 10:00pm, but has not seen any results. I don't want to make it easy or comforatable for criminals to target our Neighbors or Neighborhood. Anyone know how to get the ball rolling? Or willing to join in?
